Today, Kittens, I have decided to focus on being grateful for cruelty. I know what you’re thinking. CRUELTY? WHY WOULD YOU BE GRATEFUL FOR CRUELTY? Let’s discuss this.
I am grateful for it since it brings these certain emotions to the surface of my being. It has allowed me to understand the behavior of my rescue pets better. It has allowed me to think before I say something, do something, or even approach something. I want my being to be a being of LOVE.
I AM LOVE.
I AM KINDNESS.
You see when people have been cruel to you, you begin to have what some would call “negative” emotions. These are emotions of anger, hatred, revenge, and so on. it festers within your very soul. It festers so much that when you see it happen to another, one of two things happen. Either you cower and freeze fearing the cruelty or you lash out in extreme rage with nothing but murder on your mind.
This is where you start to wonder about your sanity. This is where you need to heal. This is where you start surviving and becoming someone who wants to stop this from happening to anything ever again.
It breaks my heart now. I am broken whenever I see how cruel people can be. Once I started down the road of Reiki, I realized, I needed to send the healing out. It needs to go out to everyone who is cruel. Somehow, I need to heal these cruel beings with love. I need to change their minds about this emotion.
I know, I can’t change anyone, but I can plant little seeds in everyone I meet. I can pray those seeds grow. I can imagine that seed growing into something amazing and beautiful. I can see that seed becoming a giant tree filled with knowledge. I can see that tree spreading out roots changing every thought of every person. I can see love blooming. I can see love changing the hearts of anyone wanting to hurt another being. I can see it becoming.
What will that becoming look like? It is the same as cruelty. It starts with anger and then, something happens to your soul. Your soul starts to focus on the victim of the cruelty. It is angered but at the same time begins to wonder how you can save this other being from this horrible emotion. You start to formulate a protest or a campaign for change. You start educating the world on the importance of being kind and respectful. Do you change the whole world? No. But, you can change the mind of a few, which is an amazing start to stopping cruelty.
This is how you change others hearts, by changing your own. That is why I am grateful for cruelty. It has given me a demon to struggle with. It has allowed me to view myself. It has shaken me to my core. But like a tornado to a tree, I bent without breaking. My roots are strong. My roots are cemented in love.
Today, Kittens, I hope you spread seeds of kindness. Spread the love. See cruelty not as a monster to be angry at, but a lesson to overcome. See it as an opportunity to change the world, one seed at a time, one day at a time, one soul at a time.
Blessings in peace, love, respect, and kindness!
